JIC is comitted to promote Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) investments in the Japanese private equity industry, including investee funds and candidate funds, to help strengthen Japan's industrial competitiveness and support the growth and development of the risk capital ecosystem.
In our investment activities, we apply the
”Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Initiatives Policy” and conduct a comprehensive evaluation of ESG-related risks and opportunities. In addition, we actively participate in international initiatives and share knowledge within the industry to further advance ESG investments.
In October 2023, we signed the United Nation’s Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Established by the UN in 2006, PRI provides a set of guidelines designed to incorporate ESG considerations into institutional investors’ decision‑making processes and investment policies, with the aim of improving long‑term investment outcomes for beneficiaries. JIC promotes understanding of PRI, ESG, responsible investment, and impact investment through internal training, and related programs.
