In the training session, Tatsuro Yuzawa, Head of PRI, Japan and Minako Yoneyama, Senior Responsible Investment Manager at PRI explained the significance of responsible investment, ESG factors, and the materials PRI provided to promote responsible investment. The importance of making investment decision in line with management philosophy and investment criteria in responsible investment as well was mentioned, considering that it was necessary to understand how each ESG factor was related rather than focus on ESG factor itself.

Regarding responsible investment, the survey results was referred to in explaining that many PRI signatory institutions recognized the need not only to incorporate ESG into their investment decisions, but also to identify sustainable outcomes (the impact of investment on the real world) and take action to achieve them.
