As Spain continues to demonstrate one of the fastest growth trajectories among OECD member countries, Minister Cuerpo expressed strong interest in strengthening ties with Japan’s startup ecosystem.

During the meeting, JIC Chief Investment Officer Toshiyuki Kumura outlined JIC’s global investment strategy (“Go Global”) and its initiatives to support Japanese startups in expanding internationally.

The visit underscored the growing international recognition of JIC’s activities and Japanese ecosystem. Minister Cuerpo and Mr. Yokoo agreed on continuing a dialog to deepen the mutual understanding.
